On December 24th, a boy with a severe heart defect is admitted to the hospital. The doctors are powerless, as there is a lack of blood donors. A last glimmer of hope comes from a radio announcement aimed at motivating donors to come forward. It works: Paul Bartlett, Tara Mulraney, Maisie Fulham, William Harker, and Leila Beddowes are alone on Christmas Eve and head to the hospital. In the waiting room, these very different individuals become a community bound by fate. Together, they wait until the boy can be saved.
