Henry N. Brown is born on July 16, 1921, as a teddy bear. He comes into the world when his second eye is sewn on. Thus begins a life that could not be more turbulent. An odyssey through Europe, through the twentieth century, through war and peace, highs and lows - seen through the eyes and experienced with the heart of a teddy bear. Even moments of great danger are not spared from Henry: time and again he gets lost, losing the children to whom he offers comfort and love. Until he arrives in Vienna and, just before the turn of the millennium, changes hands one last time in a bear and doll shop. Like every teddy, Henry is also speechless and motionless.
