A picture book by Otfried Preussler about the search for happiness for children aged 6 and up. Three brothers set out together to catch the legendary unicorn. However, along the way, the two older brothers find their happiness and are content. The youngest, however, continues on, through fire and water, through night and ice, to fulfill his dream of the unicorn. When he finally catches a glimpse of the noble creature, he shudders and lowers his rifle to the ground. He returns home as a satisfied and fulfilled man, even if not a richer one.
