Off the coast of Dithmarschen, workers on an oil drilling platform discover a partially skeletonized female corpse. A first lead takes Chief Inspector Christian Ehlers from the Heide Criminal Police to the members of an environmental protection group. He cannot yet foresee that his investigations will put him in life-threatening situations multiple times and that he will ultimately solve four murders.
