After studying ethnology, French philology and social psychology, she spent many years writing scripts and concepts for children's software, which she also managed. Her mission: "Teaching children knowledge while having fun". Her path eventually led her to the "Sendung mit der Maus" programme and she also began writing children's non-fiction books. Today she lives as a freelance author and editor with her family near Hanover.
