Austria 1922. At the Grand Hotel Panhans in Semmering, high society gathers for a charitable dance course. However, the beautiful facade shatters when one of the guests is poisoned. Amid a snowstorm, the hotel is cut off from the outside world, the police are unreachable, and escape is impossible - even for the murderer. Retired teacher Ernestine Kirsch and her companion Anton Böck set out to investigate the dramatic incident - only to uncover an even more horrifying crime.
