Although they have completely different views on love, the dreamy Yuna and the realistic Akari become friends. Yuna falls in love with Akari's handsome brother, Rio. Akari advises her against Rio and suggests that she try dating her childhood friend Kazuomi instead. However, Yuna can't imagine that. For her, love is something that strikes like lightning out of a clear sky, not something that can be felt on command. When Yuna gets a chance to talk to Rio, he tells her about his unrequited love, which he hasn't even been able to confess his feelings for. After Yuna learns that Akari and Rio are only step-siblings, she suspects that Akari is the girl he loves.
