Due to her resemblance to the main character from the horror film "Ring," fifteen-year-old Sawako Kuronuma is only called "Sadako" by her classmates. However, behind the frightening facade, she is a misunderstood and very sensitive teenager. She simply wants to make friends in her new class but is far too shy for that and is avoided by her classmates because of her appearance. However, when the cool and universally popular Shota Kazehaya befriends her, she not only gains a friend but also many enemies.
