Product details
When Max Frisch moved to Sarrazinstrasse in Berlin in 1973, he began a new diary and called it "Berliner Journal." Due to the private matters recorded within, he stipulated that it could only be published twenty years after his death. With his sharp eye on the world, he stylistically connects here to his famous diaries from the post-war period. The journal not only contains reflections on daily life in East and West but also thoughts on his own writing. Frisch also paints partly biting, partly affectionate portraits of Günter Grass, Uwe Johnson, Jurek Becker, Günter Kunert, and Christa Wolf. Unabridged reading with Franziskus Abgottspon, 3 CDs, running time approximately 240 minutes.
