Product details
Florian Totzauer illuminates the development of innovations from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives. He examines how top managers can particularly promote novel innovations top-down through their own innovation behavior and which individual characteristics are relevant in this context. Furthermore, he identifies cross-functional collaboration as a driver of innovation and analyzes how innovation-oriented human resource management can be utilized to overcome collaboration barriers at key interfaces, such as between research and development and marketing, to generate innovations bottom-up. Two empirical studies illustrate the specific success factors and interrelationships of the discussed top-down and bottom-up approaches in innovation management.
