Product details
It has long been known that German sentences can be divided into fields. This field division arises from the verbal bracket, which splits the sentence into the pre-field, middle field, and post-field. Field analysis provides a fundamental approach to German syntax and is therefore particularly suitable for classroom instruction. However, from a linguistic theoretical perspective, field analysis is also indispensable. This book introduces field analysis and presents and compares different models of topological analysis. It encompasses wide areas of German grammar and bridges the gap to didactic applications. This introduction is thus equally suitable for beginners, advanced students, and German teachers.
