"Design Thinking" is considered a universally applicable problem-solving concept. Through an empathetic approach, products and services are to be created that truly meet real needs. This is connected to the self-understanding of wanting to change the world. Tim Seitz worked as an ethnographer in the world of a Berlin innovation agency, where he was confronted with both knowledge practices and promises of transformation. He analyzes the relationship between these practices and discourses and embarks on a theoretical journey from practice theory to pragmatism. "Design Thinking" thus becomes understandable as a phenomenon of the present and as a child of the new spirit of capitalism.
