Both gender and disability are social constructs. Both are constantly produced in everyday life, in interactions with other people and institutions. This interdisciplinary volume discusses the diverse interconnections between disability and gender by adopting intersectional perspectives: How are disability and gender linked to the categories of race, ethnicity, age, sexuality, and ways of living? For the first time in the German-speaking world, the contributions bring together insights from migration research, demographic research, and queer studies with discussions from the fields of disability and gender studies.
