Reinhold Knopp (Dr. rer. pol.), born in 1954, works as a professor of urban and cultural sociology in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at the University of Düsseldorf. He is a co-founder of the local Institute for Livable and Environmentally Sustainable Urban Development. His areas of focus include urban studies, social work, and cultural education. Karin Nell is a consultant for innovative educational and cultural work at the Evangelical Adult Education Center North Rhine and the founder of the Keywork Workshop in Düsseldorf.
