At the center of this book are the boundary-expanding strategies of American choreographer Meg Stuart since the 1990s, who creates choreographies in collaboration with artists from various disciplines that transcend dance: moving towards installation, video work, tableau vivant, movement and language studies. This study examines these for the first time from the perspective of an expanded concept of images. The question of image qualities in the order of movement and choreography goes beyond the focus on Meg Stuart and provides a crucial contribution to image and art studies.
