The topic of migration is increasingly finding its way into exhibitions and museums: Many places are creating special exhibitions or re-examining collection holdings from the perspective of migration. Additionally, a new type of museum, the migration museum, has emerged. This volume contributes to a nuanced engagement with various visualization practices in migration exhibitions and museums. It brings together analyses of exhibitions in Germany, France, Austria, and the Anglo-American context, demonstrating how the forms of representation of migration are shaped by the respective socio-political conditions and national historical narratives.
