The Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), developed in the USA as a behavioral therapeutic approach for addressing trauma and grief in children and adolescents, is now appearing for the first time in a German-language publication. The therapeutic approach is presented very clearly, using concrete examples and directly related to the therapy situation: worksheets, example dialogues, and specific problem-solution comparisons enable quick implementation in practice. The modular structure of the book allows for the 19 components of the program, including the effects of trauma and grief, psychoeducation, parenting skills, relaxation, promoting future safety, reflection, and termination of treatment, to be quickly understood and targeted for deeper exploration. A valuable resource for all therapists and psychiatrists working with traumatized children and adolescents.
