Emigrating to the land of one's dreams remains unattainable for many people. In an autobiographical manner, I invite the reader to dive into the exciting world of my emigration, which took me to southern Africa, specifically Namibia, for nearly 10 years. The reader is invited to join me on an exhilarating journey through a daily life that was never boring. Starting from my departure in Frankfurt, through the hurdles of everyday life, to the most adventurous safaris in the world's oldest desert, the Namib. From the dream of professional independence and the associated freedom and autonomy to the day when the adventure in Africa came to an unpredictable end.
