Product details
During World War II, Ella Baumann loses her husband and is left alone with her two sons and her father in their small village in the Saxon Vogtland. In the 1960s, the older son flees to West Germany. His younger brother becomes a successful engineer, gets married, and has two daughters. Increasingly, he feels that the political system is unjust and finds himself in internal conflicts. The political turnaround brings new tensions with his brother in the West.
