Hoffmann from 2000 to 2012 regarding the establishment of the Astronomical Summer Camp (ASL) as a regional summer school for all interested young people aged 14 to 24. Following this, the founding and management of VEGA e.V. with the statutory aim of promoting scientific and linguistic education through the use of astronomy as a popular gateway to science, art, and culture. In this mission, new projects were initiated, conceptualized, and implemented in the following years, particularly astronomy caravans in the Sahara as part of adult education, as well as youth education measures focusing on topics related to space travel.
