Incredible things are happening in Husum. An inexplicable incident at the grave of Theodor Storm sets off a series of events that draws local reporter Thomas Weissroth into the fray. People are disappearing, simply vanishing into thin air, and soon Thomas feels he is being followed. He does not know which dubious authorities the men who are constantly crossing his path belong to, who are stalking him or trying to prevent him from continuing his investigation. He only knows that the guys with the eerie black eyes are probably not government agents - at least not from his government. In any case, something is being covered up, and Husum is turned upside down: without batting an eye, the authorities are demolishing parking garages, tearing down towers, and cutting down trees.
