The country has also produced brilliant scientists, computer experts, doctors, and philosophers. For instance, mathematics, which was needed for calculating sacrificial sites and from which the entire world benefits, has received significant impulses from India. At the same time, the still widespread caste system, which has religious roots, acts as a brake on social and economic development.
