How do projects change their universities? And how do universities change their projects? What remains of the implemented impulses? The contributions compiled in this conference proceedings document, on one hand, the diverse changes that their projects bring about, and on the other hand, how universities adapt to the funding programs of the federal and state governments and develop necessary structures for their integration into higher education. They illustrate how new fields of work and professional profiles emerge, thereby outlining the professionalization of universities in dealing with organizational development projects. At the same time, the authors reflect on the tension between external requirements of funding programs and internal goals, structures, and conditions at universities, from both the perspective of research accompaniment and the internal perspective of the projects.
