In Part I, Trutz Hardo described his five-and-a-half-year journey filled with adventures around the world, from Berlin to Tahiti. In this second part, he recounts the journey across the other half of the globe. It begins on Easter Island and stretches from Chile through Argentina and Brazil along the western Pan-American Highway from Peru to Alaska, including a detour to Hawaii. Trutz Hardo's hitchhiking travels continued across Canada and the United States. He then made his way back to Brazil via the Caribbean islands, from where he served as a sailor on a merchant ship to West Africa. In Mali, he fell seriously ill and was repatriated to Germany. Trutz Hardo has become well-known through many television programs as well as his novels and non-fiction books. His entire life is an adventure.
