Product details
Barbara returns to her childhood home after the death of her parents. She stays there for three days to tidy up the house and prepare it for sale with her brother. She says goodbye to the past, which includes confronting her parents, especially her mother, who had envisioned a different life for her. Throughout her youth and even later, her mother bombards Barbara with accusations. In the family home, she reads Konrad's diary one last time; he passed away from kidney cancer five years ago. She intends to keep it for her children, Susanne and Lukas, but also to free herself from feelings of guilt. As she cleans the house and reads, memories from her childhood, youth, and their shared years resurface. With Konrad's remarks, "Barbara, do you remember?", she recalls the years of her marriage, the birth of her children, and their family vacations. She relives those moments.
