I take the reader on a dreamlike journey to the Above-Ground, the Below-Ground, and the Lost. While a hundred years pass for the Above-Ground, only a few weeks go by for the Below-Ground, and for the Lost, time is stripped of its metaphysical nature. I will present to the reader humanity as it truly is: foolish, greedy, unfaithful, and therefore short-lived. To do this, we travel back on the map of time to the year 1875 and follow my ancestors over a period of a hundred years through more or less difficult times. We encounter quirky characters and accompany my eccentric, short-statured great-uncle Leopold, who has second sight and is clairvoyant, especially regarding matters of death, on his odyssey with the Below-Ground. The Below-Ground - a horde of smoking, lustful dwarfs who have always been striving for their goals.
