The author sailed on cargo ships from 1960 to 1971. During this time, he recounts his experiences, feelings, and the way of life aboard the ships where he worked. Over the course of more than 10 years, a multitude of events occurred, which he has now documented in this book, organized chronologically but certainly not as a biography, using clear and understandable language. All these stories are authentic and alternate between very personal feelings that will surely elicit a smile from the reader, and moments that provoke goosebumps when it comes to extremely dramatic events.
