The future development of anthroposophy, according to Jostein Sæther, depends on an increasing number of people being able to engage spiritually in the sense of ethical individualism, in line with Rudolf Steiner's ideal: "The true experience of the spiritual is individualism wherever one encounters the spiritual." In this, his fourth book, Sæther bids farewell to the intellectually grasped and generally defined, secular anthroposophy. He addresses current anthroposophical crises and central tasks of the Anthroposophical Society and outlines a framework plan in three steps for the development of a contemporary and personally experienced wisdom based on the understanding of karma, in accordance with a socio-ethical sense of humanity.
