Divorce among Turkish families in Germany has been scarcely researched from a social science perspective. Susanne Gerner addresses the topic based on life history interviews with migrant women and their daughters. She examines migration and divorce as psychosocial transformation processes that challenge family relationships and bring generational and gender dynamics into motion.
