For the first time in German: A fundamental presentation of this fascinating and important Indian philosophy. Kashmiri Shaivism, also known as Trika (the triadic system), is one of the most intriguing religious traditions of India. It integrates philosophy, mystical theology and practice, as well as aesthetics. Despite an extensive literature in Sanskrit, this tradition, which is part of Hindu Tantrism, remains largely unknown in the West. This volume represents the first introduction to Kashmiri Shaivism in the German language. The author explains the fundamental themes of this tradition, such as universal harmony, divine energy, and spiritual paths, in an understandable way. Furthermore, she provides insights for a dialogue between Christian and divine mysticism, which is still in its early stages. This encounter can lead to enrichment.
