The Waves of the Sea and Love in Japanese - the story of a delicate girl and her passionate revenge for the murder of her beloved's dog. Every summer on the Izu Peninsula, two girls renew their friendship: the first-person narrator Maria and the wild Tsugumi, whose temperament doesn't quite match her fragile health. It is the last summer of a close girlhood friendship. Tsugumi meets a young man who is harshly criticized in the village. He seems to be the only one capable of winning over the willful girl.
