Anja Frisch, born on May 2, 1976, in Siegen, is a German writer. She grew up in Siegen and, starting in 1980, in Wiesbaden. After graduating from high school, she began studying German philology at the University of Frankfurt am Main in 1995. In 1997, she transferred to the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, where she completed her degree in creative writing in 2003. She then moved to Berlin, where she held various positions. In 2006, she published her first collection of stories. She is currently working on her first novel.
