Product details

In the beginning, in principle, there was the postcard, and I will never get over that. The postcard is considered one of Jacques Derrida's challenging works: beneath the surface of a fragmentary correspondence, the text intertwines love discourse, media theory, and deconstructive epistemology. The result is a theory of "sendings," whose seemingly unattainable abundance is systematically examined here for the first time since its publication 35 years ago. The 32 contributions illuminate central motifs, turns, and figures of the text, in the sense of an "impossible" glossary: from A for Address to Z for Time Shift. With contributions from: Alexander García Düttmann, Jochen Hörisch, Hans-Joachim Metzger, and many others.
