Following the success of 'Typology. Hong Kong, Rome, New York, Buenos Aires,' Emanuel Christ, Christoph Gantenbein, and their team at ETH Zurich have continued their analytical search for typical examples in four additional cities. 'Typology 2' presents 200 more buildings in Paris, Delhi, São Paulo, and Athens. This subjective and selective inventory of mostly unknown, anonymous buildings in these four metropolises provides a foundation for new urban designs. Each building is presented with floor plans, axonometric drawings, site plans, photographs, and concise information. In addition to an introduction by the editors, there are four texts by renowned guest authors that explain the interplay between the various stakeholders, particularly the influence of urban building regulations on the structures. Thus, the book offers practical inspiration for modern urban architectural designs.
