Anita Meyer, born on October 29, 1954, is a Dutch singer. As a child, she performed alongside her brother. She achieved her major breakthrough in 1976 when her debut solo single "The Alternative Way" reached number 1 on the Dutch charts. The composer of the song, Hans Vermeulen, also provided a vocal interlude. Prior to this, she had already worked with him in his group Rainbow Train as one of two female singers. The subsequent singles sold well, but the success gradually declined.
