I almost became a murderer today. Henri is angry. Really angry. So angry that he throws the goldfish out the window. With the glass. Because his dad has been staring at this goldfish for months. He lies on the sofa, doesn’t move, doesn’t react, doesn’t talk. He just stares. He doesn’t even read Henri’s letters, which he keeps stuffing under the pillow. But the goldfish is not to blame - Henri realizes this quickly. And he’s lucky because the glass went straight into the open trash can that the janitor was just about to take out of the yard. So Goldie is saved, but the dad problem remains unsolved. For that, a plan is needed, and a pretty good one at that. At least that’s what Signore Montesanto thinks - the Italian janitor, or perhaps a secret agent, it’s hard to say for sure. Good plans are rare, and some can be quickly thwarted.
