In 2004, Ubisoft was the third-largest independent video game publisher in Europe and the seventh-largest in the United States. Ubisoft's revenue for 2002-2003 was 453 million euros; in the fiscal year 2003-2004, it grew to 508 million euros. In 2005, Ubisoft employed more than 3,500 people, over 1,700 of whom were involved in production.
