Ubisoft Reflections Ltd, formerly known as Reflections Interactive, is a video game developer based in Newcastle, United Kingdom. The studio focuses on racing games and is best known for the award-winning Driver series. The company was founded in 1984 by Martin Edmondson and developed games for the BBC Micro. It later became known for its 1989 Amiga game, Shadow of the Beast, which was published by Psygnosis and had two sequels. The original Amiga game was partially written by Paul Howarth and started as a parallax test of the Fat Agnus Bit Blitter chips on the Amiga. Paul later worked for Deep Red Games, a British video game company based in Milton Keynes.
