The transition from kindergarten (KiTa) to primary school is one of the central events in a child's life and education, and there is a significant pedagogical interest in it. This volume focuses on the individual and child-related developmental tasks and protective factors for successfully managing this transition. It presents detailed concepts for facilitating the transition, with an emphasis on cooperation between the KiTa, primary school, children, and their families. In addition to scientific reflection, discussion of research findings, and empirical data, particular importance is placed on presenting selected practical and case examples, as well as introducing forward-looking model projects, especially in the area of school entry phases.
