The vividly designed texts not only take children to the zoo but also into the exploration of language and spelling peculiarities. In 13 experiential and learning units, students will find writing assignments, dictation texts, and a vocabulary to be developed. The variety of tasks ensures that boredom does not set in: word fragments, word frames, and syllables are alternately completed, words are organized by similar spellings from rhyming pairs or word families, and syllable and letter puzzles are solved. Finally, learning words are corrected and compared with words from the same family. As in the training course for the 2nd grade, students have the opportunity to create their own vocabulary card file and check their results independently. Through consistent repetition over three school years, learning is reinforced.
