The exercise book for Catalan grammar complements the Practical Grammar of the Catalan Language by Jenny Brumme, also published by Gottfried Egert Verlag. This classroom-tested book offers advanced Catalan learners a variety of exercises covering all important chapters of Catalan grammar. It addresses topics such as the use of articles and pronouns, the use of tenses and moods, verb complements, adjectives, as well as the choice of appropriate prepositions and conjunctions. Numerous exercises have also been included on aspects of Catalan orthography, word order in Catalan sentences, negation, indirect speech, and word formation.

In addition to fill-in, substitution, and transformation exercises, the book contains a substantial number of German-Catalan translation exercises that connect various grammatical challenges from a specific perspective. To aid navigation, exercises with a higher level of difficulty are marked with an asterisk.

Each chapter of the exercise book includes references to the relevant sections of the Practical Grammar of the Catalan Language, where the corresponding grammatical phenomenon is discussed.
