Ulm and Oberschwaben is one of the oldest regional historical journals in Southwest Germany, presenting current research on the history of the two regions in a biennial rhythm. The new volume contains 15 contributions that address issues of illness, death, and afterlife care in the Middle Ages, as well as the Reformation in Ulm. Additionally, it covers biographies and topics in the history of science, music, women, and medicine from the Early Modern period to the 20th century, as well as the processing of the past during the Nazi era and post-war period. Notable contributions include those on suffragettes in Ulm and war crimes in Ehingen. The volume is rounded off with reviews of current new releases and an index.
