Economic crises, economic crime, and economic scandals have significantly increased. Scientifically substantiated forecasts of rapidly advancing climate change, coupled with irreversible destruction of the entire biosphere, necessitate a fundamental shift in all areas of life. The economy is at the center of this. Recently, economic crises have emerged that could lead to upheavals in the global economy that we cannot yet envision. There are still opportunities to return to a certain level of stability, provided that the obvious shortcomings of an unleashed capitalism finally enter the serious political arena as a topic. It is a course change for which it is not yet too late, but it must be addressed now while there are still chances.
