Health is inconceivable without the body. It requires the body in its entirety to manifest, to be visible, to be "produced," and to be maintained. In fact, the interest in the body, even in healthcare, is limited to history- and biography-less body parts. Marion Habersack illustrates the history of the body through the inventory of (body) discourses in medicine, health sciences, and women's and gender studies.
