Product details
Modern Religion is the elaboration of a collection of essays that was published at the end of the 19th century, in which Heinrich Meyer-Henfey compiled a series of his own thoughts on the nature and existence of religion in his time. His deeper engagement with the relevant topic ultimately led Meyer-Henfey to intellectual figures such as Schleiermacher and Maeterlinck, with whom he found parallels to his own theories. Referred to by Meyer-Henfey as a witness, he now connects the prominent ideas with his own, making Modern Religion a unique reading experience. This is a carefully edited reprint of the original edition from 1902.
