Product details
The explorer and zoologist Richard Böhm undertook an expedition journey from Zanzibar to Lake Upemba in present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1880 to 1884, which he discovered. This volume compiles numerous letters from Böhm, who passed away during the journey, to his family, providing a vivid and entertaining insight into the course of the expedition. The collection was published posthumously by Böhm's close friend Herman Schalow. This is a carefully edited reprint of the original edition from 1888.
