This work aims to determine and explain the foundations of China's religion and ethics, its state structure, and its sciences. It is based on the study of ancient and modern Chinese writings and includes essential evidence in a faithful translation of excerpts, albeit in a limited number, which could have been significantly increased. I have intentionally not taken into account the reforms that have taken place in China in recent years, with the intention of creating a cultural-historical image that may still hold value for the science of human culture, even if the reforms continue and even completely overthrow the old. I indulge in the hope that this image will facilitate further sinological work to deepen our understanding of the spiritual life of China.
