All fundamental concepts of critical discourse analysis. The Discourse Workshop at DISS has developed a glossary for critical discourse analysis. This glossary contains over 200 definitions of central terms that ultimately relate to the works of Michel Foucault. An introduction unfolds the central network of discourse theory and discourse analysis, within which these terms can be situated. Approximately 18 staff members from the Discourse Workshop were involved in its development. The editing is done by Siegfried Jäger and Jens Zimmermann. Discourse analysis (theory) in general and critical discourse analysis in particular have now become part of the theoretical and methodological canon of humanities and social science research. The glossary aims to capture the current state of critical discourse analysis (CDA) theoretically, methodologically, and terminologically.
