Contrary to many perceptions, colonialism is far from being history; rather, it remains discursively and structurally virulent to this day. The guiding aim of "How Racism Speaks Through Words" is to elucidate how white Europeans have created colonialist and racist thinking and preserved it in knowledge archives and their terminology, through which it continues to exert influence today. Accordingly, core concepts of the white Western knowledge system are discussed to analyze the interplay of racism, knowledge, and power. These discussions are grounded in theoretical explorations of colonialism and racism and are supplemented by alternative resistant naming practices. The focus is not on an administratively driven or mandated state language policy, but rather on the analytical disclosure of what our language carries in terms of traditions.
