In 2018, Israel celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding. At the same time, the Palestinians commemorate the Nakba (Arabic for catastrophe, disaster) for the 70th time, marking their expulsion from their ancestral homeland. The political and social situation in present-day Israel, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the Golan Heights has remained unresolved for seven decades. Under the title "Unresolved," Meinrad Schade photographed in Israel and Palestine. This work continues his long-term project "War Without War," which has been documenting landscapes and people caught in the grip of conflicts since 2003.
